As some of you may know we are currently on holiday in Iceland and as ever I’m documenting on all things paranormal, strange or different I encounter while here.
I thought I’d share something I seen when venturing on a trip to see the Northern lights. All churches encourage Icelanders to light up their passed love ones graves during the festive period. They do this to light the way for those some who have lost love ones who find the festive period a dark time. It’s a reminder that there is always a light where there is dark times and a way of celebrating a person’s memory at such a time of remembrance.
I thought it was truly beautiful and such a nice way to remember those we have lost in a more lighter way.
