What is a doppelganger: A doppelganger is a mysterious, exact double of a living person. It’s a German word that literally translates to “double walker” or “double goer”. Sightings and reports of doppelgangers have been around for centuries, and a great deal of superstition has developed around them. Traditionally, they have been viewed as sinister or even evil entities. Seeing a doppelganger has also been considered an omen of misfortune or bad luck.
They say we all have a doppelganger somewhere in the world, but what about in a previous life?
Could it be Reincarnation?
Robbie Williams and Jesse Pomeroy
9th Century child killer and Robbie Williams look-alike Jesse Pomeroy was certainly no Angel. He was aged just 14-years-old when he was sentenced to hang for the brutal murder of a 10-year-old girl and the grisly mutilation of a 4-year-old boy. He cheated the gallows, dying in prison aged 72, sadly with No remorse.

Jack Gleeson and Caligula
On the left, the Emperor Caligula, one of the most famous – and notorious – rulers of ancient Rome. On the right, Jack Gleeson as Joffrey in the Game of Thrones TV series, who feels a ongoing urge for power in the series.
Caligula has long held a reputation – one that, to be fair, is being dialled back substantially by modern research – as one of Rome’s most debauched public figures, a man renowned for depravity, sexual excess and cruelty a bit like Joffrey!
Sylvester Stallone and Pope Gregory IX
A visitor to Vatican City was stunned when he found the subject of a Raphael masterpiece had an uncanny resemblance to – Sylvester Stallone.
The Cardinal and Theological Virtues is a 1511 fresco adorning one of the Raphael Rooms at the Vatican.
It depicts Pope Gregory IX approving the Vatical Decretals – with a spitting image of Hollywood hardman Sylvester Stallone, 65, looking on.
