Bilham Belvedere also named Bilham Hall is located situated in woodland between old Brodsworth and Hickleton in Yorkshire.
The ruins we see today is of a summerhouse which was built around the 1800s by John Rawstorn for William Hewitt of Bilham Hall. Unfortunately, the main hall was demolished in the 19th century.

The Belvedere was said to have “The richest prospect of any place in the West Riding of Yorkshire.” and was given a grade II listing status in 1968.
Is it haunted?
Over the years I’ve seen numerous teams visit the ruined summerhouse who believe it is.
Some stories I know of, is that it has been assiocated to witches and coverns who alledgelly have gathered in the ruins to practice rituals.

Some investigators have felt a male presence who simply does not want them there however in terms of reported documented ghost sightings, I’ve searched and have not found any.
However, we have investigated this ruin a few times now and based on our investigation, I will document what we have got:
A male presence who may make you feel not welcome and may make those visiting the ruin feel angry at no given thing, I’d say it was possible it could he William Hewitt.
A White light was reported to being seen, floating around and then simply disappearing.
I felt a women haunted the upper levels who is dressed in a long white dress. I feel she wears headdress that goes across her forehead. I feel she also may linger the stairs.

Very little is known about what the summerhouse was used for so we can only speculate. However, I do feel the ruin as a few stories to tell and this may be the reason why so many of those who do know it and have visited seem to be so drawn back to it.
